Douglas Latta (nmi)

MINI BIOGRAPHY:

Douglas Latta uses his artistic gifts mostly in the fields of commercial art and portraiture. He received his BA Degree in Art from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina and the Master of Fine Arts Degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee

After five years of being an Art Director for CBS affiliated TV stations, 35 years ago he decided to follow the teaching profession and is presently an Associate Professor of Art at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

For his thirty-eight year professional career he has been very diversified in his artwork, completing TV set designs, theme park designs, oil portraits and modern as well as realistic prize winning fine art paintings. Presently, Latta works in oil portraits and wax based pigmented illustrations almost exclusively and has published his work in books, TV, advertising, Bibles and other commercial projects.
