BIOGRAPHY:
Norma
Y. Latta has been in the field of Art Education for thirty-eight years.
She has taught at the university level and in both public and private
secondary schools. She is currently teaching private Art lessons out
of her Studio in Broken Arrow OK.
She
received her BS Degree in Art Education from East Carolina University
and the Master of Arts Degree from George Peabody College for Teachers
at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Norma has published
her artwork and won prizes in juried fine art shows. She is also currently
involved with her husband, Doug, in writing short biographies of famous
people from all walks of life, whose dynamic Christian faith played
major roles in the development of our American society.

Employment:
Teaching private art classes out of her art studio. For the
last thirteen years she had also been responsible for the ORU Art
Education Degree Program.
Her
university faculty assignments have been: teaching Art EC-8,
Secondary and Elementary Art Methods, Crafts, Jewelry Design, Color
in Design and Basic Drawing. She has been the Art Student Teacher
Supervisor, Residency Supervisor, Art Ed Advisor to Art Education
students. She is also the ORU School of Lifelong Education teacher
of Basic Drawing and Art EC-8.
